Hi, I’m Michelle

I believe the best photographs happen when people feel relaxed, comfortable, and free to be themselves. That’s why I focus less on posing and more on creating an experience where you can just show up as you are. We’ll laugh, move around, maybe get a little goofy—and before you know it, you’ll forget the camera is even there.

For over 15 years, I’ve photographed families, businesses, seniors, pets, community events, and everything in between. What I’ve learned is that photography isn’t really about the camera. It’s about how you feel during the experience and what that feeling turns into in your photos.

I love building real relationships.

Many of my clients have been with me for years. I’ve watched families grow, photographed new businesses as they opened their doors, celebrated milestones, and now I’m meeting the newest four-legged family members too. Those connections mean everything to me, and they’re a big part of what makes this work so meaningful.

When I’m not behind the camera, you’ll usually find me outside. Give me a trail through the forest, a mountain view, a river, or a beach and I’m happy. Nature has a way of grounding everything, and that calm, natural feeling carries into the way I photograph people.

And then there are the dogs.

Dogs show up exactly as they are—joyful, curious, goofy, loyal, and completely real. They don’t overthink anything, and I love that. That connection inspired My Pet Project, where I get to celebrate the bond between people and their pets while supporting the local pet community I care so much about.

Community has always been a huge part of why I do this. Whether I’m photographing local events, partnering with small businesses, volunteering my time, or supporting organizations that make our neighborhoods stronger, I believe in showing up and giving back.

Most of all, I believe in being real.

Your photos should feel like you. The laugh that sneaks out. The way your partner looks at you. Your kid’s big personality. The gray around your dog’s muzzle that tells a story you never want to forget.

Those are the moments that matter.

If you’re looking for someone who will make you feel comfortable, keep things fun, and create an experience you’ll actually enjoy, I’d love to meet you.
